	E-Parisaraa India’s first scientific electronic waste recycling unit started operations from August 2005, valuable metals, plastics and glass from the waste in eco friendly manner. The initiative is to aim at reducing the accumulation of used and discarded electronic and electrical equipments, which mostly end up in landfills or partly recycled in a unhygienic conditions by backyard recyclers and then partly thrown into waste streams damaging the environment. The objective of E-Parisaraa is to create an opportunity to transfer waste into socially and industrially beneficial raw material using simple, low cost, home grown, environmental friendly technology.
	KSPCB approved, E-Parisaraa represents in the National TASK FORCE on e-waste constituted by MoEF. E-Parisaraa works closely with GTZ of Germany and EMPA of Switzerland.
	Benefits of Recycling: Every ton of steel recycled makes the following savings: 40% of the Water required in production 75% of the Energy needed to make steel from virgin material 1.28 tons of Solid Waste Reduction of Air emissions by 86% Reduction of Water pollution by 76% Every ton of Aluminium recycled makes the following savings: 6 tons of Bauxite 4tons of Chemical Product 14MWh of Electricity It takes 70% less Energy to recycle Plastics It takes 40% less Energy to recycle Glass
